FMCSA Pulls Safe ELD and MYLOGS From Registry
Motor carriers using Safe ELD or MYLOGS have until July 7 to move to compliant devices before roadside enforcement treats them as operating without an ELD.

Three ELD listings moved to revoked status
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration removed Safe ELD for Android and iOS and MYLOGS ELD from its registered electronic logging device list on May 7, 2026.
FMCSA said the devices failed to meet the minimum technical requirements in federal hours-of-service rules. The action covers BEMOREX's SafeELD-Android and SafeELD-IOS, both using identifier ELD42A, and Mylogs Inc.'s MYLGS2 device, identifier MRS202.
July 7 is the practical deadline
Carriers using the revoked devices have 60 days to replace them with compliant ELDs. FMCSA told carriers to stop using the devices, move temporarily to paper logs or logging software, and complete the replacement before July 7, 2026.
Until that date, inspectors are encouraged to review paper logs, logging software, or the ELD display as a backup instead of citing drivers solely for not using a registered device. After July 7, drivers still using the revoked devices can be cited and placed out of service under CVSA criteria.
Compliance risk keeps moving upstream
The notice is another reminder that "registered" is not a one-time status check. FMCSA said it has removed 67 noncompliant devices since January 2025, which makes ELD vendor monitoring part of routine fleet compliance rather than a once-a-year audit item.
Fleets should verify affected units, document the migration plan, and make sure drivers know how to handle roadside inspections during the transition window.
