Ram Brings Back ProMaster City for 2027 Fleets
Ram is bringing back the ProMaster City for 2027, while adding commercial van, Chassis Cab, heavy-duty, government, and future pickup updates for fleet buyers.

Small Van Returns to Ram's Fleet Lineup
Ram used Stellantis' Pro One Fleet Preview in Pontiac, Michigan, to show how it plans to rebuild its commercial-vehicle lineup, led by the return of the 2027 Ram ProMaster City. Customer deliveries are expected in Q1 2027.
The compact van returns to a U.S. segment that most automakers had exited by 2023. Ram said the new ProMaster City is 2.5 inches taller and nearly 23 inches longer than the prior version, while keeping the garage-friendly size that made small vans useful for urban delivery, service, and municipal work.
More Payload and More Commercial Configurations
The ProMaster City is expected to offer about 1 ton of payload and 1 ton of towing capacity. Ram is also adding a ProMaster cargo model with a 159-inch wheelbase and Super High Roof configuration for 2027, giving delivery and vocational fleets another high-cube option.
The Chassis Cab line is getting higher payload ratings on selected gasoline models, a new 270-degree surround-view camera, and expanded Pro Upgrades packages meant to simplify body-builder work. Ram also previewed updates for heavy-duty trucks, including payload packages, diesel powertrain changes, and new vocational variants.
Government and Future Fleet Products
Stellantis also showed public-sector products, including an emergency-response configuration based on the Ram 2500 platform and a coming Dodge Charger Pursuit sedan. Longer term, Ram previewed the Rampage compact pickup, a midsize pickup expected to revive the Dakota name, and the Ramcharger extended-range electric pickup.
For fleets, the immediate news is the ProMaster City. It gives buyers a smaller van option again in a market where many operators still need tight turning, lower operating costs, and enough cargo room without stepping all the way up to a full-size van.
