Mike Albert Fleet Solutions named Marty Kuhn chief executive officer, making him the first non-family CEO in the Cincinnati fleet management company's history. Kuhn, who has served as president since 2022, will keep that title.
The move shifts day-to-day executive leadership outside the Betagole family while keeping the company family-owned. John Betagole, the company's most recent CEO and a second-generation owner, was voted chairman of the board.
What Kuhn brings
Kuhn joined Mike Albert after nearly two decades in consumer finance and fintech, including time as president of SmartPay in Cincinnati. The company is positioning the appointment as continuity for a client-service model built around leasing, maintenance management, fuel, telematics, upfitting, and fleet administration.
The transition also gives Mike Albert a technology-and-operations operator at the top as fleet customers keep asking for more connected data, repair visibility, utilization planning, and lifecycle guidance from their fleet management company.
